First of all, I want to thank you for visiting my blog. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m truly excited to share my knowledge with you.
I want to emphasize that, unlike most writers that focus on freelancing, I’m not here to make money. Everything posted, shared, and discussed on this website is meant to benefit you. I’m not looking to meet a quota or badger you for consultations. I’m not trying to sell a product or an eBook. In other words, leave your wallet in your pocket. This community is free.
For this reason, you can be confident that everything I share about my freelance experience is entirely truthful. I’m not going to make the business sound more glamorous than it really is. I’m not going to cater to get-rich-quick schemes. And I’m not going to claim a six-figure salary.
I’m going to show you how to create a real, honest career in your home office with nothing more than a laptop, an email account, and an internet connection. If you have those resources on hand, we’re already halfway there.
I’m a journalism graduate of Michigan State University. I currently live in West Lansing with my husband Austin. I have four adorable guinea pigs, one spoiled puppy, and I’ve been in the freelancing business for seven years.
It sounds stable enough. But there’s a story behind the pretty picture. You can read that full story here.
The most common question I’ve been asked over the past seven years sounds something like, “How can I do what you do?” The appeal of working from home has become increasingly sweet in the past decade, especially for members of Generation Z. My answer is simpler than you might think.
If you have a marketable skill and strict discipline, you can do what I do.
So, let’s launch a career together.
